How's that possible?

I study dentistry and don't mind seeing mouth surgerys(I can get used to it) or teeth implanting but when it comes to insects, they scare the hell out of me(seriously) O_o

How's that possible?
I'm a 9-1-1 supervisor and they freak me out too. I think its just because they give us the creeps. They seem to appear suddenly, out of nowhere, and whenever they are there, they are the focus of our attention until we can get rid of them and get our heart rate back to normal.

so no worry.
Reply:I would assume it is because gums and roots are not alive, but bugs are.

There is more to yukky things than just the yuk factor.
Reply:We all have different backgrounds and past experiences. Each of us grew up with different things that happened to us, different parents/friends/teachers who told us different things. Therefore, each of us has a different threshold towards different things as far as what we find tolerable and what we find frightening. You may simply have been affected by an incident with an insect or a movie or TV show with an insect that other people haven't been affected with. Not to mention, it is pretty natural to be freaked out by bugs. They're quite unrelated to mammals, and it's natural to fear things we don't comprehend.
Reply:so??

who said that its not possible!!
Reply:we all have phobias
