What is an tooth implant IMHO?

IMHO (in my humble opinion)

It is a titanium screw, screwed into the bone. It does not mimic the root, but serves the purpose as an anchor point. Roots are mobile and can move slightly, due to the periodontal ligament. There is also quite a bit of nerve endings around the root that give you the perception of bite force. Implants are fixed (fused) there is no wiggle room and no peridontal ligament. The implant serves only to hold a fake tooth (crown) or other prosthesis.

not sure what IMHO is. but a tooth implant is a fake tooth screwed onto a post that is surgically implanted in your jawbone. it's far superior to a bridge b/c it's permament and easier to maintain (such as being able to floss around it.) more expensive but worth it.
Reply:it is where they put a new silver gold or platnium ect like that
Reply:IMHO means in computer lingo In my honest opinion.

A tooth implant is where a titanium post is inserted into the bone to mimic a tooths root. Then a crown is placed on top similar to a crown on a tooth that has been shaved down. One can have entire mouth restoration with implants or 1 or more teeth.
