Non scary dentists I can recommend are
Dr Shantaram (his clinic is on Residency Road kind of opposite Sweet Chariot or Purple Haze .. a big posh building with bronze horse sculptures in the entrance.
Dr Dushyant on Nandidurg Road in Benson Town.
