Bridge Vs Implant?

hi i posted this a few days ago, but never really got an answer i was looking for, so i'll ask again.

i damaged both my front teeth agers ago, 1 is chipped and the other ive had to have extracted.

now the extracted tooth i have to have a bone graft on there due to not enough bone to support the implant....for the chipped tooth my dentist as recommended a veener.

ive read about fixed bridges (http://www.napervilledentist.com/crown/f...

would this proceedure be good for me? id probably only haveto have 1 healthly tooth filled down (due to one chipped already).

a bridge would also be cheaper + it sounds like i'm going to go through hell with the bone graft /healing time/plus implant.

could someone reply who knows about these things, thanks for the help, i'm only 25 so need something to last me around 50 years yet.

Bridge Vs Implant?
I am the implant coordinator in my office. In most cases I always recommend the implant. Bridges, on average, need to be replaced every 10-15 yrs. Not to say that some people don't have them much longer, but remember I said average. As long as there is still real tooth structure, it can decay.

Implants can last you the rest of your life. Even if he has to do the bone graft, I still think it is your best option. You don't have to worry about the implant decaying or getting periodontal disease. Of course, having the bone grafting done, it may take you longer to have the whole procedure completed, taking healing time into consideration. But in the long run, I do feel that the implant is worth it.
Reply:When possible, go with the implant. It always sounds more expensive, but in the long run it is cheaper.

Why? Because when you can get a one-tooth implant done, it stands alone. If anything goes wrong later, only that one tooth needs to be replaced.

If you get a bridge, then when it needs to be replaced the entire thing has to be redone. Besides, it almost always looks more natural having an implant than a bridge. It is a hassle to go through all the time needed for the graft, implant, etc, but you will be much happier in the end.

Sometimes an implant cannot be done for various reasons, in which case you don't have a choice other than a removable bridge (YUCK!!!)
Reply:Implant would be a lot better for the missing one.It will be more natural looking considering that its a front teeth.Implants would be a lot stronger. Most likely you'd have to undergo bone graft but in the end,the result would be a lot better.Only that the downside is that it's expensive and it will take time.

For the bridge, yes it is possible for you too.If you're out of budget, then you could just go for this.Bridges last too.In time,if you had enough savings already, then you could like go for the implant,if you still want it.

Hope it helps.
