Tooth extraction?

Two questions.First all my back teeth top and bottom are heavily filled and I have had 5 removed in the last year .They became so painful I elected to remove them rather than pay for root canal or implants etc.Now my back teeth at back top and bottom are going the same way.I want them all out.If I am going to get them all removed why dont I just get them all removed, every one of them top and botttom and just wear dentures. If I only remove the back ones I am going to have to wear partial plates anyway.Plus I grind my teeth so I already wear a nightguard. If I remove all my teeth,I wont have to wear a guard either.Second question, how long after extractions can you fly in an aeroplane without pain or complications.Thankyou help please

Tooth extraction?
Full complete dentures are a pain. They are never just like your original teeth, never fit perfecty, and have a hard time staying in place. I hear a lot of patients every day complain about their lower dentures since lower dentures can't get good suction.

My boss always recommends saving any healthy teeth, if possible. A partial denture will be your best bet. Since you have some remaining teeth on your lower jaw, the partial denture will clip on to them and help it stay in place.

You should be able to fly within a day or so of your extractions. It's all about your comfort level.
Reply:I had all my top ones removed for the very reason you cited. They were heavily filled and constantly hurting and even with my dental insurance, it would have been tough to afford all the care they were going to need. However I kept quite a few on the bottom and they anchor my partial plate quite well. I have a small mouth inside and it was very annoying (for all of us) to get the top plate to fit. Unless you just can't see any other way, I would recommend keeping as many teeth as you possibly can both top and bottom..dentures are just not as nice as real teeth! good luck..
Reply:well i can answer that ! the first and for most thing that came to my mind was your age . if you are above 40 then these things are not avoidable . however if u r younger then it must be either u who is not taking good care of your teeth or your family's dental history .

you can have them all removed at the same time but if u do u may get into a shock due to the extreme pain it may cause . ti depends on your dentist (different people have different views) and the severity of the case .

flying ........ that too depends on the severity of the case and the length of the journey
Reply:try to preserve any number of your natural teeth as possible

you can bridge in between the teeth which have been pulled out. if you plan for denture and do away with all of your natural teeth, you will certainly regret it. good luck.
