Front tooth needs extraction. Help??

Hello. My apioectomy on front tooth last Dec. was declared failed by my specialist as the tooth is still mobile.

An implant, $2400 is out of the question due to cost for 1 tooth. Therefore, can the tooth be extracted, and on the same day,,,leave with SOME TYPE of temp to fill the gap??

Then I would opt for a 4 or 5 tooth bridge that will essentially rebuild my front teeth. I hate the idea of this, but the other teeth are filled, canaled and mishapen anyway. Would this work? Anyway, when you reach age 50, everything starts going downhill. Please offer any advice. Thanks

Yes, they can take impressions(molds) of your teeth to send to a denture lab and they can make you a transitional denture also known as a flipper. It is a temporary fix until you can afford to do the bridge or implant. Good luck.

*EDIT This will take 2 appointments...the first appointment they will take the impression of your teeth and send to the lab. At the second appointment they will have the flipper back from the lab at which time they will extract the tooth, place the flipper and adjust as necessary.
Reply:The implant is the cheapest thing you can do, as then you wont damage the rest of your teeth. See an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for an implant.

I don't know if I can help you, but here goes. To find out everything you need to know about orthognathic (jaw correction) surgery, wisdom teeth surgery, implant dentistry, TMJ problems and anything really to do with facial and jaw surgery generally, you should go to www.dentalimplantsaustralia.com. The site is an Australian one, and deals with oral and maxillofacial surgery, and also with dentistry and orthodontics. Good luck! I hope that helps you.
