Is it better to have a tooth removed before going abroad for implant.?

I am going abroad for a dental implant to replace a broken crowned tooth. Would it be easier if I had the tooth root out here before going abroad so my mouth would be healed?

When I did my implant, there were weeks between the extraction and putting in the post. He also put in some synthetic bone.

Then, in my case, 6 months before the tooth can be put on.

I also have to ask why you'd want the work done elsewhere. There could be complications and follow up work to be done. And the whole process involves waiting in between several visits.
Reply:Yes you need to heal before the implant can be placed. Why would you go somewhere else for the implant? The cost would not be as much as the traveling expenses. A good implant Dentist will need two appts with about three months in between the two appts. There are great dentists here in the usa. Implants have improved greatly over the last ten years. Good Luck!
Reply:your oral surgon will remove the tooth ....then once the spot is healed in your mouth ..u come back in about a month or so....i have had nothing but problems with my implant
Reply:Many dentists (in the States) do the implant the same day they extract the old tooth.

You need to contact the dentist that is doing the implant and find out what they want you to do.

Taking advice from a stranger (with no basis for their "expertise" by the way) is playing russian roulette with your procedure.

Call the guy who is doing the work! NO one else's opinion matters.
Reply:why don't you save the root? If it is impossible to save it then its better to go to the the doctor who is going to do the implant to decide if it needs to be removed earlier or after removing %26amp; fixing the implant immedeatly into the socket. There are many tecqunics, so it depends who the implantoligist is.
