Should I get an implant or a bridge? I am 25 and had a bad tooth that had to be pulled a year ago.?

I need a filling on one of the surrounding teeth but it should be ok. Its the top left hand side and you can see the gap when i smile. Has the gum where the tooth was pulled healed to where I could get my implant done? which one is faster and has better long term results? I want to be able to smile sooner rather than later! Please help!

Implants are definitely longer lasting and look much more realistic. I would go with that.
Reply:Over your lifetime, the implant would be best. You've lost one bad tooth already. Putting in a bridge could push you into having 2 more "bad teeth" I can't tell you how many people I see in their 30s, 40s and 50s lose the teeth that hold the bridge. By then, they've lost the bone that would hold an implant, so they're looking at reconstruction that is not guaranteed to work. The initial cost is more, but the lifetime cost is less (Like paying rent vs. buying a house)
Reply:Sorry I have no clue!

Reply:Go for the implant. That's what my dentist recommended for me. Five years later , it's as if it is my own natural tooth.
