Can dentist take out rot tooth and replace with implant stright away?

No, they will give the gum 3 - 6 weeks to heal (and it gives them time to have the implant custom made to fit your mouth and match your teeth).

They can't make the implant until the tooth is pulled, becasue they have to make sure it fits and matches the other teeth. so, you're back to square one. My wife is dealing withthis right this minute (well, actually we are in the 3-6 week waiting period).

my guess would be no, if the tooth is rotten, i'd say the dentist would want to put you on a round of antibiotics before attempting an implant. but i'm just guessing.
Reply:sounds painful
Reply:NOT TO WORRY!!! They will put a temporary tooth in until they can put the permanent implant. The area just needs to heel...but you will look just like normal...heck, maybe better! ♥
Reply:No, not with an implant he can't. Once the tooth is pulled you have to let the bone and tissue heal before the oral surgeon can place your implant. There is also a couple of steps to placing an implant. Once the implant is placed they wait a couple of months to make sure it takes and has fused to the bone. If that is okay then they place the top of the implant. The whole procedure will take several months then the oral surgeon will send you to your regular dentist to have the crown made and placed on top of your implant.
