I'm looking for the best sinus doctor/allergist in northern Wisconsin.?

Ever since my surgery to implant teeth (which included surgery to raise my sinus cavity), (4-5 years ago) I've had sinus problems, about 4 -5 a year. CAT scans show that I have an infection, I take antibiotics, I'm OK for a while, then I get the infection again. My doctor even tried steroids with the antibiotics, but the infection came back again anyway.

I just got back from vacation, had a CAT scan, and found that I have a terrible infection again! I have been totally wiped out: no energy, in bed practically all day. This has been going on for two weeks. I'm on antibiotics again, but they haven't helped yet and it's been five days. Thank goodness I'm a teacher and off for the summer or I would be in big trouble! I want to beat this once and for all, so I need an excellent doctor. Hope you can help me!! PS I also have hypothyroidism; would this come into play?

. You've got a problem but HYPO thyroidism doesn't seem to be linked to infections. Check out the web sites below;

"...as many as ten percent of women may have some degree of thyroid hormone deficiency. immune system could be damaged. "

But info on the teeth: "...Surgical complications - in addition to the usual risks of a surgical procedure, implantation can cause infection of the gums or bone and can damage the roots of neighboring teeth, the nerves leading to the lip or the sinus cavity.

A dental implant infection can cause supporting bone loss or damage the protective gum tissue surrounding a dental implant. A dental implant infection is a serious thing and should be treated immediately. Using improper sterile technique when surgically placing a dental implant can lead to significant problems. "

You need a Professional. Dump your other doc. From %26gt;%26gt; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dentistry %26lt;%26lt; : "...In addition to general dentistry, there are 9 recognized dental specialties in the US, Canada, and Australia. To become a specialist requires one to train in a residency or advanced graduate training program. " .

Maybe you need ; "A prosthodontist is a dentist who specializes in prosthodontics, the specialty of implant, esthetic and reconstructive dentistry." .

Here's a list of docs @ http://www.madisonmagazine.com/article.p... . good luck. .
